Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Yes more layoffs are coming

Wilson told the news outlet that the shift toward less driving has meant that fewer employees are needed as fewer accidents are occurring.

“This is a big first step, but this is not the end of our need to continue to reduce costs,” Wilson said. “We’ll be reducing costs for three or four years. There’s a lot of work we have to do.”

I agree that Tom and others make way to much money. They have people working for them that are at poverty level. Hollywood needs to make a new show where the heads of Companies have to live for six months on what one of their median employees make. I bet they all be shocked at how tough it is.

Let’s see if, as part of “reducing costs”, Wilson takes a reduction against the 16-million dollars in compensation he received last year.

I’m guessing the opposite: cutting 3,800 jobs will earn him a nice fat pay bonus, also in the millions.
