Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley's been at Ford for over ten years...

If he has such great ideas, why haven't they been implemented?
He's been on the executive team, what stopped him from getting these things done already?

Although I have very low expectations, I agree with @cia. I saw a tiny ray of light during his first meeting when he said that he wanted to get rid of power point slides and see shorter meetings so that we can get to the actual work at hand. I know this does not address the big issues of product launches, warranty costs and useless investments, but hey.... baby steps. Do I expect him to be another Mullaly? Nope, but he cant be any worse than the guy who just left, can he?

Let’s give him a chance.
He has made some good decisions on his first day with upper level retirements
Let’s hope this continues

@xup+17eDoVmn Yep. Promoted Elena to the C-suite. I'm sure Alexandra and HF3 aren't far behind.

He has been focused on the Ford family and getting to be CEO. Probably more working to be aligned with old CEO while finding opportunities to shine without ruffling feathers.

Simple answer is nothing. He's just another one of our self serving execs standing in the glass house Kool-aid line.
