Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Anyone here have insight to the hiring process at USAA?

Tried applying with exact experience and qualifications but received an email that the position was closed. Then the next day the position opens again.

USAA has changed quite a bit lately. Bonus structure revamped, 401K/retirement revamped. It's gone downhill. Bonuses decrease every year for the last 4 years.

Hiring process is long. Very few recruiters internally would make it at other companies. There are also a lot of contract recruiters. Since people move around a lot within the company, a lot of the recruiters don't have the necessary skills to pinpoint "talent."

There are much better companies out there than USAA and they're pay more. Lots of layoffs. Lots of dirty politics. Old Boys Club.

Just don’t, you’ll regret it. Risk and compliance is a total nightmare here. Saying their control environment is immature is being kind. Don’t have proper tools or resources and aren’t willing to invest.

Most job postings are actually meant for a contract to hire/similar person that is basically being converted. USAA has to post openings as-if truly open for all, but it’s not how it seems.
