Fed Sales doesn’t sell because their customer, the US government, just dumps money on any project and doesn’t argue over discounts. Wait until Fed moves to cloud, let’s see how the Fed Sales fair then.
As far as NE and MA, they’re still 3 years behind technology or they’re in the process of cloud adoption. So wait until next year and, if you’re brave, 2022, and check the YoY growth.
Yes, the Fed team once again saved you. Your comment regarding "why is Fed the Golden Boy" shows your clear lack of understanding of Riverbed's business. The Fed team is the one consistent performer in the company. The Mid-Atlantic and NorthEast are also solid performers.
check the slides from the town hall that show the top 10 deals for q3. you will see that the Fed represents $30M of the $40M booked in Q3 or 2/3 of the top 10.
We actually hit the number. It was close until a very large private sector deal pushed us way over.
Too bad the executives make their bonuses when they don't deserve it. Everyone in the field who has sacrificed and worked harder for less really deserves any bonus.
The Fed didn't save us. Why are they still the golden boy? The effort required to sell there is minimal. Finally, their terrible leader was fired after some questionable business decisions. Hopefully, they can do better with their new leader.
I heard Q3 blew. More pressure on Q4 and Q1 next year.
I figure the Fed saved us and I feel this is the last time once the elections are over the Fed spending moves to the cloud. Question is, how did the private sector do? They sorta count since they actually have to sell riverbed unlike the Fed.
Woo hoo! Everyone gets to stay for another quarter (maybe). If you are living paycheck to paycheck (or in this case, company survives quarter to quarter), it is usually a signal you need to re-structure your life a bit. Remember there is still that nagging "debt refinance" issue - who is going to loan you money if you barely squeak by on what you earn now. It is great to hit a revised, lower goal, but really, some serious consideration for how you maintain the business is happening. best of luck to those who get life jackets.
Great news! We should give management some bigger bonuses to celebrate!
If your trust is that low that you don’t believe company-wide emails at the time of writing, I’d say you’re better off leaving.
We did it!
