Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

What's the deal with today?

More layoffs or no? I'm guessing we would have known by now if there was more, but it doesn't hurt to check.

I am so sorry to hear that. I am still trying to be optimistic that that is not the case. I am located in the Hudson, Ohio location.

RMBC in Irving (Dallas) just got a meeting notice for today. We’re all going to find out in an hour that none of us are going to have jobs in 60 days. Right before Christmas.

I hate to break it to them, but the rmbc is busy as ever. I wonder what they are going to do when they ‘trim the fat’ from a department that is very much needed and in demand.

Remember they said next year the savings have to double this year. So whatever they saved this year it will double next year. Whether that is reduction in force, buildings or reduction in other costs. They sent out an email yesterday in regards to retiree insurance where they sunsidize.. that will be discontinue.. i amsure there will be alot more changes.

There are still layoffs happening. Assessments were just given to asap, parts of agency service, and subsidiaries. Rmbc is about to be mass assessed as well with a quicker turn around of assessments to get all cuts done by 2020 end. There is a rumor going around that by 2nd quarter 2021 more layoffs are coming for next phase of Transformative Growth and beginning phases of NatGen purchase being brought in.
