Thread regarding Ford layoffs

More Trust with our Customers

Ford is recalling more than 700,000 vehicles in North America because the backup cameras can show distorted images or suddenly go dark.

The recall covers most 2020 versions of Ford's F-Series trucks, as well as the 2020 Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Expedition, Escape, Ranger and Edge. Also included are the Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair. F-Series trucks are the top-selling vehicle in the U.S.

The company says in documents posted Wednesday by the U.S. government's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a poor electrical connection is causing the problem.
Ford says it doesn’t know of any crashes or injuries caused by the problem.

Can' wait for the surprises on 2021 F-150! But hey, we saved money by buying in China and Mexico.

I work at Ford and I just purchased a new vehicle. Because ours are such over priced pieces of garbage, I had no other choice but to purchase a competitor's SUV. I got better quality, safety, and luxury features for much less than what Ford is charging for less.

I am so happy I didn't buy another Ford c-ap vehicle. Just bought a VW Tiguan, the build quality is great and the vehicle runs smooth.

How Purchasing always gets a pass is surprising. Somehow their fingerprints get erased from one disaster to another. Supply base calls it Ford's Teflon Kingdom because nothing sticks and the supplier is ALWAYS accountable. Be the first place I looked for change as the new CEO (and certainly not promoting the guy at the head table).

Hmmm...didn't Farley just preach accountability? Let's see weren't Hau & Lisa Drake in charge of the Purchasing and PD in this new mess? Shouldn't they be shown the door? Nope, Hau gets a promotion.

Sounds like a cost savings that didn't work out too well.
