Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Union

I have been with United HealtCare long enough to know they don't care about me. My job can easily be outsourced over seas and eventually it will be. The cost is pennies on the dollar. I am tired and exhausted of how we are treated. Every few months brings the same survey but we are all still sitting in the same cabin, going the same way, heading towards the iceburgh. Nothing has changed from the last survey. This is a billion dollar company. They should be setting examples for other employers. I am sure when they offer other companies insurance they always say, the plan that you are buying is so much nicer than the one we have for our companies. That doesn't say much. Over the last few months they have handed out millions of dollars to struggling people while their own employee struggle. Our insurance should be one of the highest come on United set an example. Give your employee the best and watch other companies follow.

Is anyone interested in becoming a Union. Yeah I know it cost however we need the protection. We need someone who will look out for us. Someone that can demand change. If we unite we might pay 10 a pay but we would get so much more in return. Better working situations, better raised, healthcare, if we Unite we can change course. There is no reason why some of these vp are making millions. There is no reason that my boss feels the need to bully me. however I am just one strong if we united think of what we could do. Funny that a lot of Union Groups have United. Why would a Union group purchase from a NON UNION company? Lets get this moving before the next lay off.

Lets get the union process started. There is a similar post under the Optum section, too.

Let's investigate if "semiconductor" employee got any NDAA Defense money either directly or indirectly. Did he learn his job through OSMOSIS or did he get any special on-the-job training? Maybe we so-called dumb insurance employees can get the same on-the-job training from MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX! really trading in services... can work both ways.

It is Your company that funds Your insurance plans. They decide what to offer you on Your plans

Who do you think buys items from big semiconductor employer? I shouldn't have to work to ensure you get better insurance. $3,500 (yearly, per person) is cheap.

Agree with the previous post even though I am employee. As I’ve said before, I’m very smart, have been climbing the ladder and been told by numerous VPs that I’m on the cutting edge of innovation, always. Problem is...for every exceptional employee like myself we have like 600 dumb-dumbs. So we need to weed out the rubbish. Things will Get better in due time.

As an insured customer with UHC (through my big semiconductor employer), I don't see why I have to spend $3,500 (yearly, per person) in addition to the monthly premiums, before I get to see any actual health coverage. Your company is not providing much protection to me, you guys s—, I'm not happy your livelihood is in danger, but I hate having to sponsor it. As far as I'm concerned, you deserve to be laid off, go find a job based on something other than fleecing people who need to see a doctor.
