Severance Issues

Last day was 9/25/20. Severance still not received so contacted HR for status since bills are behind and piling up. Should have by 11/25/20 per contract signed by myself AND Allstate. HR rep said I should have received. Explained my peers and I have not as of yet. HR person left for a few minutes and came back stating there is no set time for different packs to receive severance. I explained that groups whose final days were after mine already received severance. HR person pretty much said that's the way it has gone, that there is no set schedule, and still could not say that we would receive within the required 60 days after final date.

Has anyone else had similar experiences? How long after you last date was your severance received and deposited?

After 36 years with BTE ratings - Last day was 10/30/20. Severance direct deposited 11/13/20

I just called and was advised the same thing, "no set schedule"..... "Within 60 days" I don't know how long it will take for unemployment, now I have something else to worry about. Smh
My term date is 11/28

I received similar vague information. Was told some groups may receive severance almost immediately after their last day (Which I have seen. A friend got their's the following Friday after their last day) and just prior to the 60 days after their term date. Was literally told that there are no set schedules for the severance and that other areas of HR and benefits are handling the severance payouts as the original area had a lot of lay offs. I still have about 30 days before my 60 days after term date is reached and still waiting myself. I gave my landlord advanced notice of being laid off and he is trying to work with me but wants his rent ASAP.
