Glad I'm out. Too many managers who either bullied or had no people skills, played favorites - and walked around like they could get away with it. And they DID. The last manager I had was so bad that they launched a verbal attack at me that was categorically unfounded and all based on assumption and bad information from others. When I challenged the information (and subsequently went to HR about it) - nothing happened. HR is paid for by the company, and they protect the company - not the people who go to them for help. That's not unique to Nike. I hope that they figure out a better way of hiring managers and holding them accountable.

@1ilf - welcome to the club!

Nike is classic narcissistic abuse. They hire the best of the best. They woo you. Gaslight you into thinking the toxicity is normal or you’re the source of it. Then they discard you not with the expected corporate transactional feel but with vindictiveness.

Don’t take my word for it...just Google “Nike” and “work place”.

There’s no genuine interest in change or accountability. Its a last resort because you’ve got them by the balls with a lawsuit or a journalist’s ear.

They have a long history of ignoring it until they can’t, then deflect and blame:

Sweatshops of the ‘70s-‘90s, #MeToo, Equal Pay, D&I, Doping, Gaucher, Montano, Cain, etc

Nike’s reputation precedes it within HR circles not to mention mental health ones.

You’ll find a great job easily when you’re ready. Put in the work to get through it and you’ll come out the other side more bad a– than ever. I promise

Like entering a new relationship, you start by being so proud to be at Nike. After a few round of lay offs, boys clubs, bullying, gas lighting, mind games, fear and intimidations you learn to survive. Then reality strikes, the let down of finding it’s mostly smoke and mirrors. Shiny objects in the form of beautiful buildings. A great campus ran by alpha males and females deficient of empathy. How can you be proud when your busy networking and managing up for your survival. Till the axe falls, then Nike does it again, use and discard.

Was proud of the brand until I experienced the toxic HR department.

Proud to work? The manager was a fraud he said "Move here and I will take care of you." in the interview. I left that sh– hole and have PTSD now.

Yes, let’s all go to a website called “the layoff” and then ask people if they’re proud to work at the company.

Sounds legit.
