Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Glue traps

I have been with the company for many years and never once saw glue traps or heard about any mice, but lately I've been seeing them in the break room and office. I still have never seen or heard about any mice. Luckily I've never actually seen a mouse stuck to one of those cruel things (actually I did see one once years ago as a customer in a different company and it was horrible) but being an animal lover and compassionate person I'm extremely anxious one day I might. I've been getting rid of them and have spoken to the store manager but they keep showing up. My question is has anyone else seen these in their stores. I'm trying to figure out if it's a company wide thing or just my store.

They must have used a really big glue trap to get rid of Demos.

I'm more curious what they're saying on the BN Facebook page or is it the same old BS?

If you don’t see any mice that means they must be working . I don’t believe any have died or even injured themselves . What I think is happening is that they see the traps , then go discuss the situation among themselves . They realize the traps could ensnare them , so they avoid them . In many cases they leave the building altogether and go to more friendly retail store environments like pet food stores and supermarkets , where they climb all over the food you buy. I think we can all relax knowing that these little special creatures , which some call rodents , these cute little buggers that carry deer ticks and probably some hideous diseases....are okay.
I will give this poster points for most original rant that has absolutely nothing to do with job layoffs or books .

Stores are less clean and ours has no pest control. Makes sense. Part of the “new normal “.

I saw them many times in the Eastchester store break room. They are needed given the conditions of dirty laundry, shoes and dishes left in the sink. Oh and the sweet smell of people spraying perfume.

Maybe they're expecting a visit from upper management.
