Severance Package

Is it true that if you get your severance pay and you apply to Allstate and get the job, you have to repay Allstate back the money?

Also has anyone received theirs?

Read the package - it explains your question. My last day was 10/30/20 and received my severance 11/13/20. Only thing the company has done right.

I was told by HR that you couldn’t apply for a job the first 3 months after RIF, and if you applied for a job you had to go through an agency. And if you’re hired, severance that is paid back would be on a prorated basis.

You would need to be away for a certain amount of time. Not sure, but IIRC, it is between 12-18 mos. If you're rehired before that period, it is pro-rated.
