Why doesn't this surprise me:
Some Aetna people (non-Hartford) were told yesterday (Friday the 13th of November, no less!) That their positions will be eliminated before the end of 2020. I don’t know the details.
Is there any more detail on this? Luckily, I left the company on time, but I’m curious what will happen to those who stayed. Unfortunately, it looks like no one is safe.
I know I have written on a bunch of posts already.
However I believe they will close the woodland hills california facility.
I use to work there as a female account administrator before they moved to this new place
a few blocks away.
First of all the facility can easily fit over a hundred people. Yet only a dozen or so come in during
parts of the week, while part of the time they go remote during the week.
The parking I believe they need to pay for. If they just go remote for these people then they will save thousands of dollars each year. It would be cost effective to close this down since they need to pay
for the parking I think.
Before l left there were disgruntled workers and those remaining constanly complained. You could
hear it when you passed by each department. On a daily basis also. I didn't undertand this, since it was the most comfortable place and it had numerous resting areas. The work was easy but they still complained.
They also spent a thousand bucks or more on a seperate exercise room with a bike that absolutely nobody used. They also had separate quite rooms where you could also relax. Yet they took every opportunity to try to create chaos. If you feel that way, just leave already and leave the rest of us along to do our best.
I just didn't get it apparently. So I left to another administrator accountant position with another place where people enjoyed what they did and were very pleasant to be around.
