Will Barnes & Noble have to shut down again due to the rise in Covid? This could be the end. Most people I know aren’t going into stores let alone big ones that aren’t cleaned properly like Barnes & Noble.

Our bathrooms were always disgusting and customers would leave their trash all over the store, including dirty tissues. They got rid of cleaning staff with COVID. Not a wise move. The remaining booksellers are asked to clean the stores and managers clean the toilets. Ugh.
Barnes laid off a lot of their cleaning staff years ago, and they never replaced them, just leaving their stores to become filth pits. So it's not wise to eat there or to use their bathrooms.
The restrooms and cafes have never looked as bad as they do now. I wont eat in the cafe and I won’t tell you what I do if I have to go to the restroom.
Another Covid shutdown is inevitable. So many of our regular customers haven't returned and I doubt they ever will.
You're right about the stores being filthy, I remember someone getting Hepatitis from our bathroom. Since then, I never use them and luckily we have an alternative.
Yeah, that could be a deal breaker. When I worked for BN, they had full-time cleaning staff, and, even then, the bathrooms were really filthy at times. I can't imagine how it is now.
