I was part of the RIF. Is anyone else sickened and totally frustrated by the continued job postings put up everyday on the Allstate site for job positions that just let go. Of course at an extremely lower job category. Most are posted at A level jobs from claims to sales to service. Fire the most knowledgeable employees. Hire a bunch of noobs and pay them nothing. So much for company and employee loyalty. This place has change in just the last 2-3 years, and I've been here for 20 years so I've seen a lot. I wish we could do something other than just bend over and take it.

How does one begin to start unionizing. I have said it for years, that is the only hope of US employees
I was let go among 120+ others on my role. They just posted 4 positions for the same role, but lower pay band. I was asked if I’d apply and said NOPE.
Unions do not save jobs. Don’t be so gullible
Only really one person to blame... Glenn Shapiro. This is what he does, he’ll be gone within a couple of years to do this elsewhere.
What a bunch of nancy’s
Union, organization, what ever you want to call it is not forbidden, the corporate thugs can do nothing against this if people stick together. Illegal to terminate employees for discussing at offsite locations at off hours. There are federal laws protecting employees. Never say never, if only 30% to 40% of employees agree to organize and stick together it can be done. Do not think A$$state would be able to term that many people at once. This needs to happen across all Insurance companies nationwide. Claim Adjusters United stand up and start the movement, the corporate thugs need a wake up call.
Do not try the union route. Managers, DM's, and officers are all trained to sniff out such talk and squash quickly before it gains ground. Even if it means illegal acts of suppression and purposely railroading and setting and creating conditions for termination of those discussing. Unionization is one of the things that corporate forbids and takes action on such talk swiftly. I agree 100% that we need it but it is not going to happen here and pursuing a career with another company is the best course to go. Unions are not an option at Allstate. They themselves will "burn it down" themselves from within before allowing a union.
Get a union uprising started. At least your screams will be heard as you are bent over. This company wants cheap cheap cheap EVERYTHING! .....except executives bonuses and salaries.
