I could provide a similar pointless story about an experience with Allstate. Why didn't Allstate help you with your claim against the Progressive driver?
Question, do you really think that claims experiences will IMPROVE at Allstate after TG?
Bottom line, Progressive is growing faster than Allstate because their pricing, sales and marketing strategies are better, and far superior in execution.
@1akl+17TbsxlC I don't know about where you are at but around me Progressive isn't a deal for anyone, and you think Allstate treats customers substandard try Progressive, it will take weeks to get anything done with their claims, and if you happened to be hit by a person insured by them you better make sure you have witnesses, if not bend over because they will give it to you.
I was hit by a person insured by progressive, I was on the street stopped behind traffic at a stoplight, a person was backing out of a roadside store and into my fender, not a huge amount of damage really (not drive able due to fender up against tire), of course their claims tried to say it was my fault? how you ask? they said their customer was backing out and I darted behind them so they would hit me, THANK GOD I had called the police and they came and did an accident report and gave the other person a ticket, the store also gave me a copy of their security cam footage. The shop that did the work took 2 days, they could have fit me in the day after the accident, probably only would have been without my car for 4 days, 4 days of progressive paying for a rental, instead between them being slow, accusing me of hitting them, then waiting for police report they ended up paying for 17 days of a rental car.
Sorry but NatGen has more preferred DWP than Encompass and has successfully retained IAs through several integrations. Encompass never really engaged IA channels and just took 20 years of stumbling & bumbling to run off the CNA book Allstate purchased to enter the IA market. Yes, Encompass will be folded into the NatGen structure and run by their leadership team. Several verticals - not just nonstandard auto
Allstate will not be able to compete with Progressive in general and specifically in the IA and non standard markets. Progressive is nimble, disciplined and well managed.
Allstate will ignore whatever knowledge the NG team brings on board in favor of the "big brains" in Northbrook.
But yeah, I think you're right about Encompass not surviving 2021.
Don't expect Encompass to be around in 2021. Expect the Esurance treatment. Bye bye Encompass. Bye Bye great service and get policy coverage. Hello 4500 Nat Gen employees who know nothing but non standard coverage. Allstate becomes the new Progressive with the Nat Gen book. And ALL Encompass customers go away. Along with the employees and the company itself!!!
They didn't have a plan when they made the purchase other than to stem the hemorrhaging in market share.
They don't understand the IA market or non-standard auto.
They will flail about for 3 years or so before destroying the NatGen business like they did with esurance.
