don’t take my word for it, there’s days I regret having left NS, do what you like

Of course all the company men should stay though and do a good job for the shareholders and the perfect NS management

Don't let the math fool you. You pay most of your check to the worthless unions, worsening healthcare, and a retirement you probably won't live long enough to collect. There's a lot to be said for employers who will treat you like an asset. The only benefit to ns is it looks really good on a resume.

No. No its not.
Wages are horrible, insurance is an expensive joke, most places barely match a 401k at 5%, good luck with a retirement, people come a go and most are felons and d–ggies. Good luck, boys Its tough out there.

Riding it out until I’m asked to leave. A lot of b—s— is going down right now. Eager to see what happens in the next few months.

There’s actually a lot of jobs outside where you can match take home pay if not bring home more. That $30/hr looks good but your take home doesn’t compare at all to other jobs making $30/hr outside the railroad. I’m bringing home $600 more a paycheck makin $25/hr lol. Between the useless union dues and all the tiers it ain’t worth putting up with that BS.

Several of my co-workers that got furloughed have found other jobs and all seem to be doing fine. None of them are homeless and in the gutter. Take care of your finances now. Don't be scared of the railroad.

Most of them require taking a 30% pay cut....

I agree but I think I will ride it out until they tell me to leave. I am confident when that time comes I will not have trouble finding work. If you choose to stay just don’t be afraid of being cut, live your life, don’t let the place get the best of you and rob your life! If you choose to go best of luck and everything will work out!
