Shame they dont listen..
Why are the execs on so much and getting everything. If you listen to the questions on staff Mike gets angry and a bit abusive.
His happy and calm answering business questions.
He didn't even know that most of the middle management are untrained and pretty useless building their little empires and towers. And if it doesn't fit their little tower tick box then they want to offload it asap.
Doesn't matter if it impacts the customers as long as it's not relevant to his empire he doesn't want it.
Some the customers dont see 1 Dxc they see managers with empires stopping staff providing a good service which may cross a couple of empires and grey areas.
Blinkered middle management if a staff is multi skilled he doesn't necessarily have to fit in your tower, he can provide a variety of skills and services. He can be a engineer or project engineer or build engineer. He can be a project lead, coordinator, or PM. Some staff can do everything some staff prefer just 1 discipline.
So in short the middle tier needs to be trimmed and trained up to stop ticking boxes and be more people focused.
As for the thing about going into the office to pick up you old chair etc bit of a joke. Most decent companies allow staff to order a new chair which is delivered to the home. Not a brilliant idea to bring used stuff into your home in a pandemic. No mention of any thing else eg broadband reimbursement etc.
In short Mike you've got to give us something quick, if you dont want to give us a big rise you should give shares that way the staff are part of the company and will be positive about its future, one of your key objectives which you impressed on firmly.
