Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Co-worker breaks down horribly in huddle

We just had our huddle a short time ago. Our leader was discussing our numbers and production (which is not that good anymore) and the discussion of morale and where we are came up. Well a co-worker who has been with the company for many years and is looked at as the mother of our team just suddenly broke down on cam and started bawling saying "I just can't take this b__sh_t anymore!" She continued to just cry and scream that over and over with her hands in her face. Another employee started crying as well. The original inconsolable employee shut off their camera, left the zoom meeting a minute later and has since logged off. Another third person has also logged off. It was sad and horrible to experience.

People are so at their breaking point with how things are going. At least half my team was demoralized when they didn't get laid off. It's just horrible.

I worked at Allstate for 36 years - 7 years ago it was announced by a sales leader that they had hired somebody to get rid of me! I put up with the unnecessary harassment for as long as I could and ended up retiring. For years I put up with their c-ap - even called names because I was jewish and HR just laughed it off. Best day of my life when I walked away.....I loved my job but the management was AWFUL!

The environment is toxic. We are just names and expenses on a spreadsheet to Leadership.

I told my mgr in a huddle last week that I was feeling very insecure about my performance. I only ever hear what I’m doing wrong, what I’m not doing fast enough, or not enough of.

In the end, only kindness matters. When the employees rise up and take a collective stand, things will change. There is no way on this earth that these corporate evil doers will ever be kind. We need representation like never before. They don’t care enough to cut even a thread of slack to anyone in the low ranks. They are laughing at all of us because they got us over a barrel with all the crisis in the country. We need to fight back. Someone who knows how to get a union started please help us! It could start on this forum and we would all sign up! What do we have to loose? Some have lost everything as it is. Please someone HELP us !

But hey they don’t care about you just as long as you can watch the id–tic commercial where the mo–n is driving with the goldfish-bowl on his roof and The doofus is rolling down the hill. . Embarrassing commercials and they are not in the same league as Geico for sure. They also need to get rid of that stupid good hands logo. The way they treat their own blood is disturbing and pathetic. Quit showing these stupid logos in the Endzone of every football game and running these goony commercials. Management (oxymoron at this company ) needs to Pay attention to what’s going on with the employee and get a clue regarding the dynamics going on here. There is no such thing as the good hands. That is a myth. Replace it with a picture of an ambulance for all the injuries being caused

Same here . We use the huddles as venting sessions . The numbers they want are unattainable. We sit in front of our computers for 10 hours a day working claims and our pending and answering calls all day with no breaks or lunch . We’re tired .

I can relate. My breaking point at the DOC happened a year and half ago and that is before all of this c-ap that has dropped down on you folks several months ago. I was a very long term employee and glad I'm gone. Good luck to her.

I hope the seniors leaders and executives see this. Not that it will really matter, but I want them to know what they are doing to people. They’re running this company in the ground and totally f’ing their tenured, essential employees. Claim handling is s** now and customer service is in the tank!

It doesn’t help when you’re criticized and ostracized for not seeming outwardly happy and optimistic. The toxicity is next level. Kronos could be the final straw for many. Too much abuse.

Morale is at an all time low, finding the motivation to smile and work each day gets harder and harder.

Wow, what does a leader even do about that? I feel sorry for all involved. I’ve seen some people lose their sh– over the years but not quite like this
