How will they handle the involuntary to avoid any unwanted incidents?

No. Says those laid off will be handing over. It won't be immediately. Laid off people are not fired on the the spot.
Laid off employees are fired employees. The company is not going to have fired employees continue to work and have company equipment beyond the notification date. They will instantly become persona non grata. They will remain on payroll for awhile but will not be working.
I don't think they will take company things for a few months. You still need to handover.
Also, it's illegal to do something malicious to disrupt or damage company information.. So I wouldn't bet on people doing something
Those selected for the involuntary layoff should expect the date they are notified to be the last day at work. They will be told to turn in their company equipment immediately. They will remain on the the payroll for several weeks but they will not be working past the notification date.
They will take your access when you sign. You might get a couple of days to get your things but I doubt it. Maybe you’ll need an appointment.
LOL it would not surprise me if they suggest everyone wfh that week. I could be wrong but would you want to be a manager in the office with that?
Severance is typically tied to signing paperwork to not sue the company.
If they try to make the severance contingent on playing nice and working hard for 60 days, that’s gonna be a no from me dawg. I only get 4 weeks severance anyway so they can s— it.
Yes. If I'm picked, you bet I will be wfh and spending a good portion of my time looking for work. Like hell I will be actually working.
So a bunch of Fired people will have badge and data access for two months?
Read the information sent out to all employees, it covers this. Dec 1st is only when notifications start. Then last days on payroll would start Feb 1st.
