Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

LEATHERHEAD (UK) CLOSURE

What is happening in the UK? Is the Leatherhead office shutting for good? I was there before repatriating back to the US a few years ago and it was empty then and now with all the layoffs are y’all PIPed or working remotely?

If they sold the office that isn't a good sign. They did than in Melbourne a couple of years ago. Followed of course by denials there were any plans to divest (after newspapers broke the story). You know the rest of it.

Leatherhead will disappear not long after lay offs.

For several years it has been shared with a finance company so ExxonMobil doesn't use all the office space anymore. There are security key card controlled doors for the different parts of the building. Also, xom don't own the building anymore so are just tenants now.
There's actually a lot of office space in the Leatherhead and Epsom area. If necessary, xom could just rent a smaller Regus office in town.

No plans at all.... sensationalist headlines and rumour mongering is not constructive.
