Non Compete and Solicitations

The former President of Channel and SMB just took at job with a competitor.

This just throws all non-competes in the trash is they try to come after you.

This person went to a ATT shop and has influence so it will be interesting to watch.

Good for her as she is a nice person and solid leader.

There's a whole article about how the entity she went to work for is essentially part of Lumen somehow. She specifically mentions her non-compete obligations.

Unless you’re at the executive level, non competes are essentially null and unenforceable in CO.

Whenever I left it was expected by everybody I worked with that I would go to work for a competitor that was hated by my supervisor. I will specifically told when I had to sign the no compete that he would be keeping his eye out for me. I am not willing to take the chance myself. I think it all depends on who you are.

Remember we Lumen is not Communications company anymore by their own words, they are a service provider of IT.

They can't have it both ways............

They let you go, non compete unenforceable really, you have a right to earn a living. Also they would have to know you went to work and hunt you down, with all the layoffs being done over the last 6 months I doubt they will be doing that unless someone runs a flag up for attention.
