Severance Package - CenturyLink 2020 Layoffs

Does anyone know what CTL/LUMEN is offering in 2020 as a severance package? I was just let go, right before the holidays and am devastated.

Level3 destroyed Centurylink. Worse merger ever made in corporate history. Bankruptcy is now on the doorstep as soon as they wipe out the dividend. Horrible company with horrible corporate values.

sounds like most people on this site are Qwest techs & have tunnel vision...here's a news flash, not all CTL techs are union. Non-union techs typically get 2 weeks pay for every yr of service, then he got the 130% bonus, the math adds up.

After 14 years, took the enhanced severance package (130%) back in June. $46 grand, then Uncle Sam got his part and I was left with bout $34 grand. Best career decision I ever made was to get out from under CenturyStink. Actually changed careers and have a job that pays more than the $34.48 hr I was making. $35 hr and no weekend work, no call out and home by 4:15. Loving life without CenturyStink. The grass is greener on the other side. Good luck to you.

No problem! I know what it’s like to process and it’s very devastating to ones ego as well. The severance package should be based on how long you were with the company. That determines the package. Let me know if you need anything additionally and I’d be glad to help. Hang in there! Things are gonna be fine!

Not yet. I find out tomorrow. Thank you for your kind response. I cannot process this and am in distress, but I will figure it out. Totally blindsided....2020 cannot get worse.

So sorry to hear this! Take a deep breath and things are gonna be ok. First thing you need to do is to apply for unemployment insurance ASAP! They didn’t tell you what your severance package was?
