Honest answer: if you are a part of a group that will be affected, will you be able to fully focus on work the coming month?

So many people here obviously are not EM employees from the dumb questions. I guess people just fishing for information, like watching a train wreck.
Retirement eligible employees are never terminated. They “elect” to retire when pushed and will receive all retirement benefits.
Anybody know what happens if retirement eligible employee keeps working, but ends up getting cut next year? Can you just say "I retire" and circumvent the termination, thus keeping all of your benefits as if you had a normal retirement, or do you risk losing benefits, pension options, etc. because you are not separating normally? Are the retirement eligible employees taking any risk by continuing to work and getting cut in the future?
NRE's are not eligible for the 4 month package
@hmy - I think there's a high probability that any RE or NRE employees that refuse the 4-month package will find themselves terminated without a deal in February.
Then please turn your badge in and leave. I want to work with people who can adapt to challenging times in this industry. Go get a nice public sector union job so you can work at half speed and then still complain about how you are treated unfairly.
I’m more concerned about the awful work environment for those that get to stay: more work, more stress, bad feelings towards people who didn’t take the package and costed younger people to be axed, cut throat competition for the next ranking cycle, and all the while pretending to be all in for this doomed strategy and pretending to respect these failed leaders.
Ain’t getting better any time soon.
Yes, I will be able to fully function. I no long look at EM as 'My' company, it's a job, so I am less invested than I have been the past 15yrs. My work supports others and I care about them and won't let them down, I also want to walk out of EM proud of myself each day for doing the job I am paid for. Take care everyone
