Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Will the Clinton site be touched by layoffs?

I have not heard many rumors of headcount reduction at the Clinton site. They have been PIP people for a few months now though. But I also am wondering how the groups who are not subject to the ranking system and are unionized will be affected.

Overall Clinton site is not "adding value ($$$)" to the bottom line. Too many portfolio managers, managers, sections heads, group leads with highest salaries and keeping their calendars busy so that they are working hard.

There is more than just CSR in Clinton. All the lubes folks that moved up from Paulsboro and are working there now are still making money for the corporation. Go lubes.

Yeah, heard that in the latest board review of dr syrup -late august- he was asked to repackage and rebrand. Could not even pull the wool over the ignoramuses' eyes.. Should be an interesting creative exercise.

The Clinton Algae scam may have finally run out of gas. Gotta give them credit though they milked it for a good long while.

Lee R's life-blood will be drained from the jugular and that thigh-artery.
For those that think Research has been a drain - the 'oil-boilers' out there - this is actually a tragedy.

EM is no longer a technology or science company.
It's a commodity company selling the nastiest commodity in the world.
Opium is a better investment.

Clinton site in New Jersey including CSR is a drag on the corporation. No matter how any fraud VP spins it for his/her own career gain, the fact stays that CSR in Clinton NJ has collected very poor quality of employees over last 20 years. The evidence of poor quality is apparent in lower level management from sectdionheads to lab directors.

Truncation of entire Clinton site is a reasonably smart option for our executives in Dallas.

I'm guessing Clinton will be significantly impacted since the site doesn't generate cash in the near term. Look at basically all companies in many industries, they got rid of their R&D departments over time. Not sure what will happen to union employees. They're technically working without a contract right now, so it's likely they'll see the same reductions as everyone else.
