I’m in the northeast. Several folks already let go this morning. Walking out with white envelopes/packets. This isn’t good.

Yes. Move on you troll with nothin better to do! Must be that previous health and safety guy from the northeast and stuff. But he was good. Now they got a penguin or seagull runnin the show. I was laid off a while back but I still go to Southwest for breakfast and stuff. I know the chef and he hooks me up.
Last poster is right move on already if you have been let go from us. I am hearing a several million dollars in salary has to be cut by year end. We all can do the math (I know you in HQ think we can’t) up here in NE. It’s not looking good for us.
Fake News, as in layoffs in NE is a fake report...dumb–ses...there were none, yet the original poster claims to be in the northeast...what a child, nice of you to spread this BS when you have people legitimately concerned. Were you sent packing years ago and still bitter about it? Move on!
Fake news is the last post that said fake news. Based on what I heard on the call today and my 15 years in the industry we are gonna grow by laying off management and cutting the excess from the org chart. Doing us a solid Mr Bill
Look around Exxon, Chevron etc are cutting staff and our 6th time is almost here

Exxon announced 1900 layoffs, Halliburton 1,000 and Schlumberger 21,000. This is the big players and many in Houston so the market will be saturated with competition if you get the axe. Wishing everyone luck that it turns around
Well, it looks like Exxon is laying off 1,000’s. Wow. Just wow. Thought I was going to leave Southwest and go there. Dang. Nothing beats our egg frittata breakfasts though!
Good luck everyone and for the bragger about the job in a December...don’t spend the severance just yet, industry still doing layoffs every month and first in first out.
More layoffs in Spring happening now. It’s odd to see some of the people who are leaving today surprised and dejected. Go figure.
Can confirm a very very generous layoff package is given. This is a nice gift cause I am finishing my acceptance to another job and will start in early December. Thank you Southwest!
I can confirm a couple of them guys was let go this morning. But I heered that it wasn’t laid off it was cause they was taking gift cards to Texas Roadhouse from a vendors and stuff. They was terminated. Everyone in our state is worried about joe bidin k–lin our livelihood.
Can anyone confirm or deny? Would like to hear from those laid off to see how generous packages are. I’ve only been here for 18 months. Any layoffs in Spring as others thought might be happening?
