What’s with all the “it’s Wednesday” rumors? Seeing here and hearing it from colleagues.

Hearing exit date is Nov. 6 for those not offered a job or needed to complete transition. Doesn't seem like a lot of time between the company wide notification of this Wednesday another post mentioned. Anyone else hearing the same?
Why would it be any better than all the other terrible decisions this company has made since Chuck left...

Was told explicitly by a manager that company wide notifications would go out on Wednesday. Training is happening tomorrow for those giving announcements on messaging and handling FAQs
So are they going to call 2,000 employees in one day?

Some managers are going rogue and giving people early heads up. Probably because they DGAF and are on the block too.
OP here - then why even have the possibility of Mon/Tue cuts? I made it a point to not schedule meetings etc early this week for this explicit reason.
Wednesday is when actual notification happens. Anyone who tries to say otherwise is misinformed, clueless or just on here to stir the pot.
