Wasn't it Jeff Clark that stated they would bring down the silos in Dell. I guess he forgot to mention they would build bigger ones along with Empires too!

Everything is based on the biggest graphs and charts nothing else.....

They keep folks who should not be in a position because they kiss a– so well!

It's very sad the way Dell is going, they will end up a failure due to lack of employee motivation. You can not only take so much away and beat down people so far before they stop being productive. I think many are at that point....

glad I left when I did.....

Well said. Good I left EMC 5 years ago.

And everyone needs to stop believing Jeff Clark. They terminated our employment because we're old, obsolete, and we can be replaced with cheap foreign labor (no offense to my foreign colleagues). You all are getting the bad end of the deal for sure.

Jeff Clarke is a big bully and liar. Don't belive anything that comes out of hours big mouth. Any other company would have fired him long ago for the verbal abuse he hurdles at employees!

Everyone is on a different timeline with regards to how/when they react. I have been here over 15 years, was productive, loved my job and thought I would never leave. I was wrong and my last day is coming. I do think Dell will survive, but for me it’sh– the limit. I have become a number at Dell and it time. Good luck to all that have worked so hard to make this place great. It’s no longer that way for me. Travel safe! TH.

A company who cares about their employees doesn’t pull promotions/merit increases, bonuses and especially 401k. More layoffs are coming. Be prepared.

Excellent thread. To my former colleagues, the company is not going to fail. It has already failed. It failed a long time ago and what we are seeing now is the snake eating itself.

So, what they are doing is getting rid of Lab Managers who know labs inside and out and replacing them with none technical people from what I heard, several to replace 1.... That's saving money!

I still think it was an insult to our intelligence how in one of his emails a few weeks ago he mentioned how theres "still a chance for a bonus this yr although they really couldnt tell what percentage yet" hahahaha

You took away our yearly merit increases and promotions, stopped 401k match, and laid off a bunch of people yet somehow were supposed to believe we can still get a bonus? How dumb do you really think we are?

Yep, and what's with that services Empire run by SS, that is the biggest useless thing I have seen. Tickets, tickets, tickets all for the sake of a pie chart and looking like they do something for upper management. It's a pity to waste some of these professionals to less than their worth....Only for the sake of building an empire. This has not worked in other companies....You need support people that can be fully engaged in an engineering organization that fully understand the products....

This company is going to fail, they are separating groups that should be collaborating. and putting managers in where they don't belong..
