How many people have quit after finding out you’re safe?

I did! Well, technically I retired once I found out. It’s only a matter of time before the guillotine falls again, and the mental stress and increased workload just wasn’t worth sticking around for. I’m thankful to be in the position to take an early retirement, but trust me, it’s not even close enough to live on. Now it’s on to my 2nd career and I’m looking forward to it! Buh byeeeee!!
Was on the HR site during the 3pm call starting my retirement process. Have no desire to work for this company any longer. Mentally burnt out and frustrated with getting 6 claims assigned to me although only able to average process/close off 3 per day. Receiving calls, IMs from customers, shops, inside reps wanting to know status of pending claims, some of which were assigned that same day, telling them that MOI is 8-12 deep in the stack on my desk ( former field tech working from home). Frustrating receiving a field moi, customer having been told “I” would be coming out and me telling them”No”, I’m not coming out.
I will be very soon! And I know of about 20 in my office that will be leaving as well..
Two team members put in their notice after our 3pm call today. In our team chat people were irate that they were not laid off. I think more will in the near future. I know a few people that were giddy that they were laid off.
I got what I wanted which was laid off - sorry guys! But my office has lost so many people that quit from the first week of working from home. I'm not applying for any other positions with Allstate until after I get severance if I apply at all.
I was let go - but told I can apply for open positions. Makes zero sense. You don’t want me now but it’s okay if I apply for a lower paying position. I’m an exceeds employee...but was let go because I don’t fit in with their transformative growth plan...but can apply for another position...and possibly get it with lower pay. No thanks TW! I sure hope with all of these layoffs TW will be able to afford a better looking toupee 🙄.

The even weirder thing is, I believe, the people who were laid off can post for open positions. However, if you post for a position and it is offered, if you don't accept it, you don't get severance.
I know several that have, it is weird to see open positions for those that quit after being told they were safe and seeing people that were same positions still being laid off.
