After being told I’m an impacted employee I let a few of my co workers know and said they could share the news. The following hours and next day I received calls and IM’s from them checking on me. Except my manager. I can’t believe after all the years of working with him he can’t screw up the courage or fake compassion to check on me. Not even a text? Yes I do expect that because it’s the right thing to do.

He could've been laid off too! My manager was laid off but still checked on me. I think my manager was more upset about everything than me.
Your manager was probably fired too. They likely don’t know what to say. Everyone is hurting.
My own manager has tucked tail and lost his balls in the last two months. He’s been avoiding us. It’s pathetic.
I haven't heard from mine either except to tell me I had a meeting with him and the rcl a couple days before. And in the zoom meeting he didn't say a word. I guess it's possible he also got the axe.
I’m very disappointed in this company too.
