Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Severance held hostage

Our positions were terminated last month, and our office was made to return our equipment to a building, leave it sitting unattended in an unlocked foyer without the option to have an employee or representative of Allstate confirm the equipment was received.

Now we hear they have been holding severance until all equipment has been received. The equipment was returned per the manner prescribed-so where’s our severance?

They only have 30 more days to pay out. Let’s see if they actually comply with their legal obligations. We have more than fulfilled ours.

It seems like another weird way to stress folks out.
Is there someone there totally getting their rocks off over the psychological turmoil they cause others? It would explain a lot. It’s like the corporate version of American Horror Story over there.

They have 60 days after you have severed. Does anyone READ what they were sent? It’s not a secret, look it up and quit whining

We as well were told earlier this week that severance would not be paid out until our equipment is received back and verified. We had to complete a survey of ehat we had and wait for a prepaid shipping label. We are not able to return it to our center and must ship it back. Once they receive and verify everything on record of us having is returned then they will release severance payments. I highly doubt this person just left it in a foyer as claimed but I can confirm severance is held until company property us returned and verified as received. Still waiting for my shipping label.
