I have been reading these postings from day one and decided to post something. After so many years at RJ there are still days when I feel sad for what happened to us. Yes I know that's the way business works but still it's not easy after many years of dedicated service. But life goes on.
Also I wanted to post something because today I just got 2 boxes with my personal belongings from my cubicle. So many memories.
Correct, we cannot go back to our cubicles and get our personal things. Someone determines what's personal and what's not, puts them in boxes and they are sent to you. I knew that because I survived the lay offs in 2013. I had a few things missing and a few things that had the RJ logo but were promotional items.
They didn't even let you go back to your desk?!?
I got my boxes yesterday. Brings back some great (and not so great) memories. RJ was in my life for so many years, it is definitely a big adjustment. I agree - life goes on. Trying to get myself in job search mode. ugh! Take care everyone!
