In our office they laid off the newest managers and the most senior adjusters with the highest pay. It had nothing to do with performance in my opinion.

In the layoffs a few years ago, they let go an auto tech who they just sent on a DPA trip and was very good. He would look at cars all day and go home and work on his own classic cars in the evening. This was the guy you wanted to look at your car as he did no miss much and could actually do the work himself. So who knows.
Has anyone noticed any patterns in terms of age or demographic factors? I figured they’d hold onto the older employees closer to retirement.
pEopl that Kant spel and have the most worstest spellings and lack of GRammArs comprehension willed are teh ones that gots to stay employed.
I can say without a doubt that numerous people lacking any type of reading and comprehension skills, along with an inability to follow the most basic of instructions when working claims, have been kept on as top tier/top rated/exceeds employees.
Yes, that just happened.
Yes, we live in a world where anti-intellectualism is coddled as a legitimate skill set.
They laid off a smart experienced claim adjuster our office and a very very savvy terrific manager in ours. We are sooooo confused.
Im in Chandler and i skipped the test for a drink - still on payroll :D
Remember we took a personality test and played a game. A true test for quality staff!
Not even close. There are so many CSL who have no clue who got to keep their jobs and many more tenured talented ones that were let go. Allstate s—s!
I have coworker that didn’t even take his assessment test and he still got to keep his job
There's no one who's been laid off who's going to consider their lay off as being the right choice, regardless of whether it was or not.
Everyone from the most competent, best employee to the least competent, laziest employee in the layoff pool are going to have the same opinion about the outcome.
It's all kinds of stupid to run a poll for that reason.
Laid off the right people in claims
In my office nope!
Nope.
