What's your opinion and prediction regarding the MOM Investigation? Is it going to yeild anything?

@1saz+175vdZIN Little work is the point. With more work being cut.. Lesser workers are required. But since they claim it’s part of the performance assessment.. then those jobs are still required and shall be filled. Continue following up with MOM, to put pressure on EM, to show if this is indeed not a “lay-off” but part of the performance assessment.. however looking internally.. those jobs are not being replaced..
Its performance based, not any other criteria - so not sure what is unfair. Maybe MOM needs to give EM another tax break in Singapore to stay there - else why should we continue to bleed money there.
I don't think you realize how little work the company is going to require over the next few years. Why do we need people to do busy work or sit around and do nothing?

Message to those displace.. it may not be a bad thing.. remember to call your supervisor to thank them.. and calling the authorities already have made EM cornered to have to fill those positions.

Omg. A bunch of Singaporians that don't think the assessment process is fair and want Mom to do something about it? You seriously think that something is going to happen even with more employees writing to them?
More people does not mean more punishment. I'm going to laugh when MOM comes back and says that EM did nothing wrong (unethical, but not against the law)
If you have been affected this round, please do yourself justice by writing to MOM to highlight how you’re been NSI with false bogus allegations of poor performance.
Even if you are not impacted this time, please help yourself by sending a quick note to MOM citing how unjust you feel about this exercise and your anxiety on becoming the next victim. Once the first batch of NSI’ers are gone, you will be the next batch to head for the slaughterhouse, if you fail to voice up now.
The sheer number of complaints to MOM will tell XOM Singapore clearly that we demand the process to be fair, open and honest and will no longer accept their pile of lies.
Be patient, investigation needs time. If you don’t lodge your case in, MOM will think the impact is minimal. Spend less than 10 minutes to submit your case and collectively MOM can determine the path ahead and update us!
This is specific to Singapore, MOM is “Ministry of Manpower” which looks similar to a combination of EEOC, OSHA, etc. in the US
Wouldn't that be akin to the FBI investigating another country? I wouldn't expect anything.
It will yield absolutely nothing more than a waste of tax dollars.
I wish it would have some impact on the U.S. also, but that is really wishful thinking.
Exxon has enough lawyers to be sure that it won’t yield anything. They do their homework. They wouldn’t have done the PIPs if they weren’t sure that it was legal.
Doesn’t mean it’s not a c-appy situation. But it’s probably solid, legally.
