Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Alabama Office - cutting people with the largest salary

Processors and processor managers appear to have taken a big hit.

Senior LDU adjusters got the axe. At least a few unsure of how many total.

Senior casualty litigation adjusters got the axe too. Doesn’t appear to be based on performance. It appears to target people with the most experience and biggest paychecks. Smh

I know many managers that took significant hits, but when looking at the non-managers the ones I know that took the biggest hit was new employees, it seems some areas got hit harder at different levels than others.

The bad thing is I know many long term higher paid employees that don't do anything that are keeping their jobs, they should be gone.

I wonder if getting rid of the long term employees has anything to do with their pensions. This way, they , Big Blue, will no longer have to contribute and end up paying out less had they kept them employed until retirement

I just hope they do not run out of severance money before they get to my name. I’m ready for the exit train to stop by my home and repo all my company equipment.

Based on who was cut countrywide, it was clearly not based on performance. It was solely based on tenure and salary. Not doubt about it.

My understanding is layoffs were today and those safe will be told tomorrow. Take that with a grain of salt since they do what they want, when they want and to who they want.

That is most efficient for cost reduction you can always bring in new people for cheaper hourly pay regardless of training cost. Any word on if more lay offs tomorrow? here in the GA office we’ve heard nothing as of yet. I’m off in 30 mins, we’re you affected? If so sorry.
