It was amazing leaving that place. A brand new lease on life. Happy again. Competence, stability, less revolving door employees, no more obsessions about money. Leave and good luck to those still there. and can't leave. Thank you.

most are yes men and won't leave. many still believe in the corporate propaganda. hard work myths and illusions. A show about nothing except empty consumption, consumerism. Get a bunch of debt ridden employees and work em to the bone. They tantalize them with goodies to get them on that American hamster wheel.

Foreigner workers are allowed and permitted to displace Americans. This is allowed by the "government"—all for profit/capital gains etc.... This is disgusting. As someone said both do nothing 'parties' are to blame-bc it's all about making money at any cost. Being american is a bad joke

Outsourcing is a huge issue in this country. Allowing U.S. employees to be laid off only to sustain the employees from the Philippines and India is despicable. I got let go today, after 6 years of working extremely hard and putting heart and soul for Department success.

Lay-offs are not done. You absolutely need to be prepared. Update your resume. Start thinking about other job opportunities. I will also add that if your boss/manager promised you that you were safe, that was irresponsible on their part. Promises like that should never be made to any employee regardless of where they work.

They told us, we were ok, safe, nothing to worry about. Keep working hard, and nose to grindstone talk. Then layoffs occurred. People from all walks of life, ranks, etc. Gonzo. So much for that loyality, dedication, ok, safe yammer. Just more company propaganda to dupe you. Please please please do not believe anything that comes out of your bosses/leadership mouths/corporate "news" blasts. It's there to sate you to keep you from jumping ship. Do not be tethered to a sinking ship. You leave. They have no love or respect for you. It's money. That's all. Money. Get more. Money. remember they said were ok and safe. BS.

Half our dept is gone. There was so loyality and love etc...No one is safe. Do not belief anything they tell ya. Those that are still there, wow. Realize we got bills to pay, but really, it so unstable with no laws to protect you. Good luck and good night. More of nothing

People are down voting the same poster who repeatedly posts the exact same message about boomers, dumvita, etc.

You made your point 6-8 months ago and it was maybe even funny the first few times you posted it. Now it’s just trolling people who are here looking for support after being laid off or knowing colleagues that were let go.
PLEASE.
JUST.
STOP.

YES. They required us to dance and sing. Are you calling us liars gen x'er, boomers, millenials. They made us dance, sing, prance, wear a silly wig, scream the company missions statements. Then feces=canned entire depts. So much for that 20 year simp loyality ?! Why are imbeciles down voting reality? Is that a us empire thing? reality and truth denials? then enjoy the corporation. happily accepting sc-aps and crumbs from your corporate over lords. open air plantation.

Everyone in Optum, regardless of your team or line of business MUST take the attitude of "it is not a matter of IF I will be laid off, it is a matter of WHEN I will be laid off". There is zero compassion in this organization, it is rather sad and disgusting. Lay me off now and put me out of my misery, please!!!!!

Does anyone know if it was only U.S. employees laid off or were there lay-offs in India and Ireland?

ok to be honest.....I saw the "dancing" on several fronts. Also my boss showed us a video on his cell phone of a leader in India doing a very "interesting" dance on a day the office was having an afternoon celebration of an Indian holiday!!! My boss did a dance at a team event in front of everyone!

We got folks there who worked there for decades. They drank that US corporate koolaid. Most were indeed US corporate simps. And yes, many were boomers, millenials, etc.etc...Their 'job' was their identity–they gleefully participated in making their owners/masters get another yacht/mansion etc...And YES there was lots of dancing, singing, prancing, wearing wigs whilst screaming corporate slogans call and response–dumbvita and healthcare partner legacy dumps. Know thy history.

To the person who posts endlessly about singing, dancing and "boomers" I personally wish you would give it a rest. I worked there for 20 years and there was never any singing and dancing. I worked with a lot of great "boomers" as well as some millennials who were great and people of all generations who were mo–ns. That's like every workplace. I don't see the point in continuing to say the same thing over and over.

Don't be a corporate simp. Sep 15, UHC has a lawsuit filed agiasnt them for illegally under paying out of network providers. UHC has also been sued many times. Do you believe that this company has your best interest? UHC is willing to flirt with illegal activity to get a little more money.

Two hospital-based physician groups have filed a lawsuit accusing UnitedHealth Group of improperly cutting reimbursements to out-of-network providers, according to Law360.

In a complaint filed Sept. 15, Emergency Care Services of Pennsylvania and Emergency Physician Associates of Pennsylvania allege UnitedHealth hired a data analysis firm to develop market-based reimbursement rates. However, the plaintiffs allege the tool used to come up with the rates, called Data iSight, doesn't use information about services or rates in local markets.

"It does not use the local information it purports to, and exists simply to paper over the naked, unexcused, and illicit greed of the United defendants, whose growth in profit comes at the direct expense of front-line emergency room physicians," states the complaint.

The plaintiffs allege UnitedHealth paid them between 75 percent and 90 percent of billed value for out-of-network claims for years. After implementing Data iSight, the reimbursement rate allegedly dropped to between 15 percent and 20 percent of billed value for claims.

The complaint includes several claims, including breach of implied contract and civil conspiracy, according to Law360.

Counsel information for UnitedHealth wasn't immediately available, according to the report. The case is pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.

Maybe the "leaders" will take into account all the corporate worship and loyality from the employee lackeys-the cheering, the singing, silly wig wearing, the cubicle decorations etc.etc.. That will def help save their jobs. LOL

Please UHC. Lay me off. This is not a troll response, but bring laid off will the best thing that can happen. I'm not in a position to quit and being laid off means I can actually attend interviews with other companies because you cannot get PTO these days.
