To do well you must fit in. To fit in you must give up more of your identity, soul, self-respect, and respect for others. Too often this means sacrificing one’s integrity. Why are American companies forsaking American people? This is not what globalism was supposed to be about. It’s sll a sham. America first. Americans first.

Too true. The amount of power we give to the CEO and the next 2 or 3 below that person is ridiculous. I think a structural change that must happen is that CEO and chairman of the board MUST be separate. The CEO of a company should never be on the board. I don't work for Allstate, but pretty much every company makes your sign and confirm a conflict of interest statement each year for good reason. There is no higher conflict of interest than to have the CEO on the board of directors. The board should do what is in the best interest of the shareholders/owners. The CEO should set the general direction of the company. If it was run that way, you would probably have good, smart and hardworking CEOs making maybe $500k. When you grossly overpay them, b/c they have so much sway on their board and the backscratching from other board memberships, you create cultlike positions. It has to stop.
I was in agreement with you right up until the end.
"America First" or any sort of populist nationalism is just another cult. The people who are threatening your way of life aren't the workers in low wage countries. They are the AMERICAN CEOs, consulting firms, fund managers and politicians who are driving your fall into wage slavery.
Any economic system that only benefits a small percentage of the population like late stage capitalism does is unsustainable and immoral. It's not the 99 percent who are failing, it's the system.
PEOPLE BEFORE PROFITS!
