@1qzi+174B8dGl. This is not completely accurate. If the PIP is already in place and you request FMLA they can give it to you but they can also let you go as it is not related. There are ways to let someone go while on fmla

Google is your friend here is a good case study. https://hrdailyadvisor.blr.com/2015/07/22/fmla-status-no-protection-against-firing-for-poor-performance/

Parental leave is an absolute yes. It will run concurrently with the FMLA which affords massive employee protections.

Take it as late as you can - if they fire you after you requested it - cha-ching! You can sue supervisors personally for fmla interference.

You should use your 2 floating holidays since you won’t get paid out for them. Schedule all of your interviews on that day or something.

@1rho+174B8dGl Don’t spread false rumors. As a supervisor I can tell you that it’s your supervisor who is in control. So if they indicated your pip is going well then it is. They are the ones making the choice. If a level above is pushing them one way or another that is the problem as they shouldn’t be but it is happening that way.

Why wouldn’t you just not work on some days without burning your vacation days? Either way, you’re getting let go at the end of the PIP, so might as well save the days and get paid for them on the back end

Why would you put yourself in that situation?

Just because you could doesnt mean you should

Even if you can't pass, vacation is paid out at the end so it makes sense to save as many days as you can. That way you get paid for the 3 month PIP plus

Yes, per supervisor discretion. Though it's in your best interest not to if you believe you can pass PIP.
