Manager sleeping around with the cashier is like the boss sleeping with the secretary in any company. Nothing unusual about that.
Happens so often. It’s commonplace. My store too, in upstate NY.

I'm guessing they'll cast Vincent Pastore to play Demos.
My married store mgr was sleeping with a cashier. DM knew it. Nothing was done about him.
B&N can be a topic of an interesting documentary - but in the same sense as records and CD's as the core business model is pretty much obsolete. Books are mostly electronically produced now in the same way that music is so it is not as lucrative as it once were. Even if there is a small population of folks that still like holding physical books for reading, volume is too small to justify the amount of revenues that paper books once brought in. Competition is high too and the business has been struggling for years.
Only way it can be "big" or "scandalous" is if it is cooking its accounting books to a tune of billions of dollars for years and years and bringing down the entire industry or if it is secretly engaging in the business of s-x trafficking - which I highly doubt.
