Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Possible lay offs in the future

There has been recent rumblings that lay offs could happen in the near future at USAA. Not for certain which areas will be impacted, but the noise is too loud to ignore.

Gilbert Gitche the new CAE is filling open spots with contractors from third tier audit and consulting companies. $65 an hour. No sick days, vacation days, no bonus, no raises, no nothing. Not filling open spots with FTEa and creating a second tier indentured servant class with USAA. Welcome to 2021 version of USA- I loved internal audit not anymore.

I work in the bank as well, and have not heard much about layoffs. Scary to think it would/could happen. They can keep a bonus so long as I stay employed.

I work in Bank and my manager slipped saying teams would be smaller starting next year. But when asked on the layoff rumors in a staff meeting, they played it off. I am pretty sure which it will be.

Could be across the board.. thats why CEO hinted to sharpen the skills..
Could start with infrastructure first followed by bank & p&c
