Any news on payment Integrity? I’ve been so nervous these past few months... does anyone who has left the company have suggestions on where to apply? I’ve worked here for ten years and my skills are so specific to this company... I am lost for where to start applying.

However, here lies the problem: we as professionals always need to be learning new skills and roles. Never let your skills get too specific or tied to a single company. Always be learning. Always get new skills. Always try to get different roles to grow yourself. If you get tied down to a specific company, technology, process...you end up being at the losing end. In this day and age, getting really good at a specific job or role is a detriment to you.
I felt that way too. That my skills were too specific to what I had been doing at Optum. And I am still looking after several months. But I have been able to find a lot of similar jobs at other payers and technology companies. So now I think it's just a matter of finding the right fit for me. Start with a job search site like Indeed or LinkedIn and just start keyword searching. It takes some time but you'll find more as you get the hang of it. And lots of them are WFH, so don't forget to include"remote" or "virtual" in your search.
