Anyone know anything about this sudden request for HR meetings?

I love it when I see this! HR is watching and this means it's a true statement and HR wants to find the OP or who's leaking the info.

Yep. Totally dumb not to bring the older experienced guys back if they’ll come. They’re the expendable crew members for the next layoffs.

1st thing this morning and that’s the dumbest thing I’ll read all day.

If they bring back the expensive experienced guys, we are just going to be right back in the world of serious financial hurt that caused GAC to slash jobs in the first place. Then more of us will get canned next time. Management should hire cheaper labor, younger people right out of school or here on visas and just train them to do the work. They are much cheaper in the long run. Not trying to be c-appy to the fired people. But they were fired for a reason. If they were really needed, they wouldn’t have been laid off. We need to stick together and look out for the jobs of us who are left.

Heard same rumor on callbacks to fill holes. Since many I knew let go already have new jobs, a fair few for more $$, not sure if any will bite. I can’t say what I’d do in their position. Not many people around here have much trust in their job security right after 3 big cuts in as many years . May be better starting off with new blood not tainted by getting dumped in a pandemic even if it means some lead time to learn the job.

I just heard through the rumor mill that GAC isn’t going to do anymore layoffs and may even try to call some of the highly skilled back.

This page is only for laid off employees? I thought it was a gossip - discussion- on the down low board. Good to know.

Why would any of us knock YOUR home grown Prez? Seriously? This is a board for laid off employees. Could it possibly be because he threw us out of the company during a pandemic after busting our butts for him? What a stupid comment.

Mr B just does what Falls Church says to do. I’d take the check too. I worked for him a decade ago. He was a good guy. He’s compensated enough to take the heat and fall on the sword when the time comes. COVID is just a hall pass for now

Awww. Be nice to Mr B. He’s the embodiment of Georgia Southern University’s world-class aerospace engineering school.

Mr B needs to go! Frankly and honestly, not a good competent profesional. Not sure how Gulfstream became what it is now... brainless at the top

Getting ready for the next round of layoffs?
Of course. The leadership have a clear picture of the projected cash flow and will adjust employment downwards again. No need to wait for the earnings call in late October to have a RIF of around 10%.
