Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Genius on Goon..

Reflecting on the actions adopted by Darren Woods, he has taken the route less travelled. Doubling down on crude oil when competitors are cutting back, not cutting management pay and instead cutting employees, wilfully continue paying dividends knowing that cash flow is negative..

I hope he continues with the projects he had embarked. Will be costly if he pulled out half way.. then again.. Genius or Goon...

LMAO! Zigging when the industry is zagging! Recalled Darren woods was saying that in his forum to us. Fond memories of that session.. totally made no sense today with all the cancellation of projects and layoffs.. surprised we are so slow to get rid of NSI management personnel.. DW is the tip of the iceberg..

He is zagging! When others are trying to have a resilient portfolio, we are taking the opposing position that we will have only a high cost portfolio that performs well in high price! Because high prices are guaranteed! No way this could go wrong. As Darren said this whole Covid thing is just a blip like 9/11. No biggie! No Change! No weakness! Winning!

Goon. Should have been investing in current assets to shield them from the coming demand drops across the world. Who would have that renewables and EVs weren't just rich techy toys.
