Pay freeze! AWS cut is only making things worse. Many are already on the borderline to leave. Once there is no financial incentive to stay, these people will leave.

Be glad there’s a pay freeze. Else it’s a AWS cut. Which one will you choose?

There’s not a lot of leaders in Singapore - but lots of great managers who’s really eager to toe the company line and parrot DW. That’s how you progress in this company!

Once hiring freeze lifted, mgrs will want new faces, old faces will be pushed downwards. unspoken fact.

Seems like many are hoodwinked by sweet talk from your mgrs. When hiring freeze is lifted you are no longer useful to them

The greenpeace incident shows you that our leaders say one thing in public but actually in private, they are doing something else- which benefits them personally instead of what’s wrong. Damn good at putting on the integrity mask.

It has been confirmed there is no bonus cut for 2022. Pay increment limited to few.

Let's see how many people will stay after PA results are communicated in the upcoming days/weeks. I'm ready to take PIL if offered.

Everyone losing trust in DW. It is the same when employees have lost trust their trust in leaders, and anything once their mouth opens in sg, our eyes start to roll.

Our chairman and CEO, Darren Woods, issued a statement on today’s recorded interviews… “Comments made by the individuals in no way represent our company’s position on a variety of issues, including climate policy and our firm commitment that carbon pricing is important to addressing climate change. The individuals interviewed were never involved in developing the company’s policy positions on the issues discussed. We condemn the statements and are deeply apologetic for them, including comments regarding interactions with elected officials. They are entirely inconsistent with the way we expect our people to conduct themselves. We were shocked by these interviews and stand by our commitments to working on finding solutions to climate change.” Darren Woods, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil

Nab shot the 8% NSI sure kena PIP liao!
Best of luck dudes … for those who die die sticking their g-ns to remain in EM.
Come next year, yet another round hor!
Will you all have the mental stamina, emotional strength and physical endurance to go through these recurring, life-changing cycles, year in and year out?
At the end of the day, psychologically and/or medically, something will have to give.
And that’s a fact! The human body and mind are not infallible.
What will happen when you can no longer be gainfully employed and have to be “institutionalised” for the later part of your lives? Your family, wife, children? How?

Management shares that high attrition is an outcome that strategy is working. We are going closer to the 3B of structural savings. All these without expensive layoff packages. We are ExxonMobil and we are winning!

Employees forum has no meaning anymore, the more we have, the less credible are the sponsors.

To be honest, i learnt more in advanced than all the employee forums or LCM quarterly emails combined.

To those who call this forum BS....you can continue living in your fantasy world where EM is no. 1

Pay raises are gg to be very selective and real increment amounts are low (if any), after factoring in the AWS cut. Call BS if you want, but doesn’t change the impending announcements.

By the way, the layoff % are lower than reported but that’s because you didn’t factor in the PIP and NSI departures. You can wise up and work that in like Reuters and Bloomberg- and you can find that the math actually works out pretty similar.

Keep living your dream and drinking the Kool-aid

Smart employees control their own journey, exit at the right time. Never depend on words from employer or management, they have their own agenda.

@51uib+16zEvLP3 of cos it’s BS. This is an anonymous forum where people had been coming to talk about so much cr-p. Few months back before the layoff numbers were announced there were also so many “reliable sources” coming to this forum to share the % cut. I don’t recall any of those numbers to be accurate. Just come here and read about people whines to chill, if you are really looking for career advice, this is clearly the wrong place

@51klz+16zEvLP3 no... its really possible. I was average in my early years and definitely not on management path, low PO. but my experiences stacked up and in the past few years I had roles where I could integrate the experiences.

although I can't speak English super well and still don't really know how to navigate a white-collar world (from Chinese speaking fam, both parents were cleaners), I had very experienced colleagues in the US in recent years who somehow see me. I was so surprised I was ranked outstanding. there are late bloomers in this company. we will never become hi po or get to CL 27, but it's not an EM only issue. society generally celebrates people who bloom early (see PAP scholars turned ministers).

but don't give up on late bloomers just because EM or society does!

Post ID: @51uib+16zEvLP3

@51utj+16zEvLP3 I call BS here. For a 15 year employee, working hard with little visibility to be ranked in outstanding is not possible. The expectations for a 15 year employee is going to be on leadership behaviours so it doesn’t gel at all with what you mentioned

But if it is to align us with industry standard of 13 month aws, does tt mean we will be having variable bonus scheme? That's the industry standard - 13th month + variable bonus (dependent on company health and own performance).

Damn sad.. I'm ranked outstanding for last two cycles but no increment even for 2022 :( the funny thing is I can get higher pay if I walk out, but I keep hoping things will get better here.

When I tidied my CV last night I reflected that I'm grateful to EM for all the learnings and experiences in the past 15 years... I worked so hard with little visibility type of work.. it's all pure "work like dog" work. but it was all good learning. I'm thankful I work for a once great company, but I'm starting to apply for jobs already

AWS to be cut by 2 months...meaning we will only get 1 month from 2022 onwards.
This is HR reccomendation to align us to market, getting 13th month only.

GC and SG mgt are supportive and received praises from Dallas.

Stop spreading fake news please. AWS cut is baked in.m, talking points finalized. Unless you are living in another universe dimension that we don’t know about, it’s coming our way Mentally Tired. By the way, if it’s really true you are in another dimension, can you let us know how to get there? I think the EMAPPL in your dimension won’t have PIP or NSI too right?

Otherwise, can only hope Apple, Google, Amazon, Shopee, Bytedance HR give me a call after seeing my CV. I heard they treat employees like humans rather than toilet paper.
