So all benefits are cut and there’s no longer any perks left except for EMagine. So now we are no longer attractive to young employees, it’s akin to living he-l for existing employees and people are leaving. HR is doing a great job in executing top management’s orders. Furthermore, there’s a 5% PIP to looking forward to! Hurray! Let’s shout we are ExxonMobil together!
Having some FLSes acting out as if they earn their position is going make me pu-e. All my credentials are worthless. Their selection principals does not based on what you can do, how you can contribute to bring value. It is all about promoting own people. No wonder company is dying. Credible technicians don’t feel motivated working in this sort of culture although remuneration is still relatively good. But in a long run, mental health overweight all these & company will lost used-to-be good/experience/highly competent employees.

Singapore office is hollowing out and senior management doesn’t give a damn about the morale here because all it does is act as a feeder for talent management for the real growing markets in Asia. I think twice before joining exxon, i got 5 years exp but they offer me $2000 for a technician office hour post? And i didnt even have a LETTER OF APPOINTMENT to sign confirming that i will be joining the company, but instead they kept pestering me to tender. So fishy. And heard this year bonus was 0.5 months only and no increment. Better be safe and dont jump into sudden joining exxon. After few emails they ask me to respond, i told then that i will be rejecting their offer.

Not sure if you guys can still remember Mr “Woolly” said…we’ve a strong robust financial balance sheet, bababa…no layoff etc. ended up massive layoff and PIL/PIP. Moving forward 3 to 5 years will be a massive transformation for everyone to see.

They are like many of us. They have their commitments to fulfil at work and their personal needs too. I will not suggest removing any employees. I guess the best solution is still improving our performance & accept a pay cut for all employees if there is a need. Also, if bosses do not like you and force bad ranking on you. Accept it & move on. Focus on other positivity in life
