There will be more departures until the LCM do something about the pay and workload. The feedback is given but nothing seems to be done, except for asking for more feedback. Even China and India employees are getting mid cycle adjustments whereas Singapore just gets a lot more pat on the back (and nothing real). How uninspiring.

left the company and very happy at where I am. Less toxicity. Nobody is penalized as "need improvement" or "need significant improvement" unless you've made a significant mistake. Everyone works hard on their job rather than wasting time on meaningless wayang CCAs. Also, extremely happy that I don't have to attend anymore awkward LPS sessions. :D
If you only get your ranking result in Dec, that means you are totally detached from your team for key information communication, which is critical to survive and improve in EM.
Ranking result comes out in 2 months?? We only hear about it in dec before increment..
I don't think need to wait for ranking, even if you were to get OWD, what's the increment you expect? 20%? I'll guess 8% instead, just nice bump you up to fresh grad pay 🤣.

I foresee a wave of technical engineers resigning in the coming 2 months, as the ranking results coming out.
Company doesnt need you to survive, so you should work and move on your own terms and conditions.

Oh well environmental team is a pioneer in this resignation wave, every year half the team resigns but SSHE dept boh chap. Good people stuck forever while SLS changes at the drop of a hat. So much to keep the environment outside clean, jiayou to the SLS to clean the toxicity inside!
3-4 YOE exp engineer pay is peanuts above the fresh hire pay as well. Good luck XOM, stagnation of pay after year 1
That’s how good our “Mgmt’s foresight”: retrenched experienced workers or chased off experienced workers then pay higher for inexperienced and not tested new comers . How brilliant can this be ? A classic act of destroying company’s intellectual capital and poor deployment of capital to employ untrained resource at higher cost . Nuts !
KNN, 2nd year Engineer also cannot match new hire pay, 1 year freeze and peanut increment! Don’t talk about inflation as well.
the new hire pay 4800 before LTSA will enable another wave of resignation for the 2-3 years, especially in Technical.

every time i chat with my ex-colleauges in EM, all i hear about are "jokes".
continuous brain drain...every other week you'll hear people leaving for greener pastures.
new experienced hires unable to cope with EM's framework and system.
hiring people without chemical engineering background as chemical engineers.
putting unqualified people as 2nd lines.
environmental team is practically run by SLS now...lol

want to know if your 2nd line is good? See if he has started enforcing working from office jus for the sake of doing it. It was a good 2 years wfh and we are grown ups with discipline to come back when needed to.
Coz recently many good 2nd lines and Engineers left us and EM is struggling to keep those ppl to stay. Well, the rest of 90% just “LL” to get increment cut for them to get free stocks.
Who knows what was the RSU program previously? Only for CL26 and above? Minimum "Outstanding" classification?

Also the top 10% is not the ones whose work is the top 10% but the ones who has their sponsors.
Salary budget is fixed, now they are cutting some to give more to Top 10%, which means the rest of us will be getting even lesser increment. :(
No stock option given, complain. Stock options given to incentivise good performance also complain.. there is no free lunch in this world. You got to work for it. If you don’t like, go out be your own boss and do whatever you like to your own company.
