Talent Suite Required Update?

Did anyone else's leadership require them to go in and update your Career Story in TalentSuite on TheHub? Is this a sign that we are being evaluated for potential lay offs? In all the years I have been with the company I have never had a director say that our human capital rep is requiring us to fill out our career story, which is basically UHCs version of a resume/linkden.

Please remember to always be honest on your surveys. It’s what helps us develop as a team. Let’s all pitch in a little extra, it’s the right to thing to do. I will check in on the surveys while out on extended vacation. Please work as hard as you can during this tough time. We can make it as a team.

I had all positive answers on the survey and I'm still laid off in June.

We were told to update our resumes, create a career story and make a profile on LinkedIn to network, to put ourselves out there, to be available for other departments just in case they need us for a project. That UHC recruiters are using LinkedIn more and more. Sounds like they want us to create value for ourselves.

On the folks that you know were part of the layoffs, can you find out if they answered negative on any surveys about how you feel about the company. I am trying to see if there is a correlation between those that get laid off and those that do not get laid off

Wow! Your manager asked you to rate your likelihood of staying with the company? If they are looking at reducing the team then I would imagine that the manager would use that information to make decisions. If my team filled that out, we would all be gone. LOL

I got asked to complete the Career storey and to also rate on scale of 1-5, what is my likelihood of staying with the company by my manager. Anyone else get asked that? He made it sound like it was a routine HR question. I never been asked that before in my many years with the company. Any insite as to why this is being done, please share!

Let see. How to rate your satisfaction in your current job .....what about rotating to a new job.

In both questions the answer is simple. You love your job and your teammates. Very happy in your current role. In fact, this job is probably the best job you had in your life.

For the 2nd question, yes, if there is any way I can help to contribute to the company in another role, I will be more than happy to take my years of expertise to make my new department one of the best in the company,

No one likes negative feedback. Senior management is trying to hit EPS. That all that matters when you work for a public company with shareholders. If EPS was based on happy employees, you would see a entirely different company.

GL29+ required to complete with a due date. It has happened before for the same reason, seems like an Optum activity right on time for Sept.

I am part of that group and it definitely feels like they are evaluating who will stay and who will go. The quarter end soon too. There are no guarantees anywhere but definitely not at this company. If you are happy here then ride it out. If you live paycheck to paycheck then start sending out your resume so that you can have some options.
