Settlements

Centurylink settled at least two cases against them this week. One being with the Department of Justice for antitrust violations, and another a class action by engineers for violation of FLSA overtime wage law. Other lawsuits have been settled earlier this year. This indicates setting up for a potential merger or sale of some kind, as in the past settlements have taken place prior to or during these actions, as a buyer would not want to assume the unknown cost associated with litigation, and to smooth the way for approval by the FCC and other entities.

COVID19 will change where bandwidth is needed.. Cloud services will eliminate any need for any company to own any real estate if Company employees are working from home. I see losses in the National side of the Company. Its already happening in the NY NJ area.

Forget ctl. Move on with your life. Crooks that could care less about employees. Best thing I've ever done was leaving. It's a sinking ship.

All the subject matter experts (SME) are leaving or have left. This leaves CTL with a bunch of employees that don’t understand things and cannot fix things when they break. The CTL logic has been similar to defund the police. It makes no sense.

True statement, Tech’s doing what ever they can to get in and get out to next task to make numbers to avoid being hassled or threatened on month in review, Instead of taking the time to do the job rite the first time leading to multiple dispatches. Customers are asking all the time what are all them orange bags ya’ll keep throwing over your terminals. Instead of repairing or grabbing a terminal and replacing which does not take long we opt out for that great task clearing time. What ever happened to IPC tracking . Needs addressed to get our plant back on track. Just saying!

The local division has no value. They have left the plant go to the point where there would be no sense trying to bring it back up to today's standards. When they moved Maxine into that job they said her up as the scapegoat for Slaughter. I am sure they offered her a great deal to be the Fall Guy.

There is no company in their right mind that would buy a company that does nothing but lose money and would have to invest billions to even be able to offer the services that they do.

Talk to a CO guy in your area. Ask him how many lines are provisioned in the switch compared to last year same time. Dying company. Technicians are bailing on their own right and left. The only people still there are those who can't get another job that pays as much money. They will go down with this ship.

"Ok, but nobody wants buy/merge with this pig."

Yeah they do, every represented and field employee would love to merge with anyone almost at this point. If your in a corral in a Beef plant you know your just waiting to move into the slaughter house, that's what many feel like right now, the down side is so far every merger has got worse, hard to see how much worse this place could get and still have employees serving in the field however.
