Unions didn’t lay us off. We are the Union. As far as dues money about 1 dollar an hour covers dues. The average manufacturing wage in my area is 15 an hour. So having a union job more than makes up for dues. If they want to lay us off so be it. But those that remain will and should get a union wage.
Well Anonymous, Jinx Old Head here... As much as some would like to start a Revolt... The stark reality of it is, The "PUP"pet Master here at the Ramp has us all under his thumb. He's watching his List, and checking it twice. Seeing who all has been naughty or nice.

Jinx old head you probably right and look at all the momey they save in vacation time too plus Healthcare. Union Pacific does not care about its employees, it only cares about the shareholders, what them a–holes in Omaha don't understand is it is we the workers who make those shareholders happy. We are the ones that make sure these locomotives run, then yiu have train crew who makes sure the freight gets where it has to go. Without us there would be no union Pacific. Maybe it's time for the brother's and sister's that are left working take a stand and say no more. You get every location on up system to agree amd shut it down and bring them to their knees. You say we cant do this. All it takes is phone calls, texts spread the word pick a start time dont let them know and do it you old heads that have been around and know how it works need to show a the younger ones how its done how a union brotherhood is done. Show us. Together we can fight them. They want to threaten us with no jenks well two can play that game. Shut them down. No work and trains dont move. How many days of no work will cause them to wake up. Remember you who are left control the future not the bosses. They are there to make sure we work and get it done without us there is no them. They don't need us. No need for more overhauls, to just be put into storage. It'll probably be after the first of the year. Look at all the money they're saving. They are worried about the economy, which means they're going to at least wait until after November 3rd...

I heard there was a meeting with some big shots on Friday. They said if it opens not when. Apparently progressive rail if doing a lot of Jenks work. Also heard one of the big shots said if it does reopen he wants productivity or he’ll re close it. In my opinion lack of productivity is a result of poor management. So if he wants productivity he should learn to do his job. Not criticize labor. Labor creates the wealth in this country. Not desk jockeys.
I don’t know but that Director got that place lookin’ sue-weeeet, spiffed up and shining like a new quarter. I wonder if he helps out around at home as much as he does at the shop🧐🧐. Maybe his next job will be Merry Maids.
