With all the confusing restructuring, now they are having everyone interview to keep their jobs-
management included.

The re interviewing is more informal department managers will be reinterviewed for their new roles and then they will have a chance to interview staff to they may pick their own leads and such. Not as scary as it sounds.
are they? i'm not questioning this rumor btw because obviously something is going to happen. i'm still working there part time after nearly twenty years as a full time bookseller and the feeling i get is that we're all about to get axed. the official bn inside note says that all positions below ASM are being flattened, which i take to mean becoming part time, which shouldn't affect me. but i'm wondering now if that won't be the case. the job market here is non existent or i would quit and with unemployment now done i'm pretty concerned. where are you hearing about this interview process and what exactly is it going to entail?

Yes, bitter ex employee here. Gave 100% everyday. Took pride in my job. Stayed late when I had to. Came in on days off when needed. Just to be told “ your position’s been eliminated.”

It's no secret that BN is in its last phase. They aren't bringing in much money at all. I'm surprised they can pay what little staff they have left. We all know everything is cheaper at Amazon and Amazon is taking over retail spaces. Everyone but the Store Managers and minimum paid employees will be demoted or let go. Tick, tick, tick...
Seems most of management is what you call DEAD WEIGHT, especially the ones who spend all day on their cell phones all day, and ON HERE!

cleaned house with some employees who were there forever, but
essentially dead weight.
