Has anyone actually looked up the definition of "Transformative/Transformational Growth"? It is defined as:
"Transformational Growth is a fundamental reorientation of a business into either a new direction or a different plane of effectiveness. Transformational Growth typically bears little to, or no resemblance to past incarnations of an organization."
So essentially, the Senior Leaders of this organization are creating a 'New" Allstate. I think it is akin to Uber and Lyft changing the entire concept of the taxi/ride-sharing business; or, as they often allude to: "would you rather be a Blockbuster Video? or, a Netflix". So buckle your seatbelts if you haven't already. This company going for a roller coaster ride with a lot of unfortunate folks falling off the rails :-(
The assessments are a cya! They probably already picked out who they want. It’s just another way for Allstate to come out on top and make it seem like you did something wrong.
My understanding is that if you're not laid off, you stay in your current job. Those other postings would be of interest to many who've already been laid off, which sounds like it's mostly been auto claims so far. I seriously doubt they'll make everyone re-apply for a job they haven't lost. IF they wanted to cut or freeze your pay, they would just cut or freeze it–they've done it before.
if job description of you job is changing less than 50% then you do an assessment, if it is changing over 50% then everyone gets a layoff notice and you have to reapply.
I will apply for my sane job and be offered it at 1/2 the pay . Welcome to transformative growth .
